The COVID-19 Pandemic: Public Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices in a central of Iran

Aims: There is a rapid increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19 throughout world. The present study aimed to determine people's knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding an Iranian sample. Instruments & Methods: This was population-based cross-sectional conducted on over 18 years age Saveh city, Iran, 2020. A multiple-stage sampling method used. Participants (N=471) completed anonymous self-report questionnaire assessing socio-demographic variables KAP. Data were analyzed using ANOVA independent t-tests by SPSS 21. significance level considered be ?0.05. Findings: Of participants, 74.5% did not have accurate knowledge how coronavirus spread. In terms more than 63.2% dangerous disease. About 59.6% participants reported regular use mask past week. As compared men, women attitudes aligned recommended safety standards. Higher education significantly related mean KAP score (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although sample evidenced appropriate some general, significant percentage individuals engage protective behaviors.
